Immigrated to Canada from Colombia in 2001 and has been Financial Advisor for 13 years. Monica has built a solid business, guiding her clients to Insurance, Investment, Retirement Plan, and Group Benefits for Small Business.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Javeriana University of Colombia and more than 20 years of working experience in Finances, Management, and Marketing, Monica provides seminars and workshops for children and adults about Money Management.

Her volunteer work centers around the Spanish community. She has been a leader through different organizations as a member of the Board of Directors like Javerianos en Canada, Hispanotech. She is a Founder of the group Red Hispana de Negocios, helping entrepreneurs with networking opportunities, and Lideres Hispanos que Inspiran, which brings a successful Spanish Leader who shows new immigrants that they can be leaders in the community. She also has been part of the Board of Directors of the Toronto Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, since 2006 and President from April 2015 to April 2017, and her second time from July 2019 to present.
President of Hispanic Canadian Heritage Council, since January 2019 and director of the Hemispheric Congress of the Chambers of Commerce of Latin America, president of the Permanent Secretary of Chambers of Commerce and Industries of Latin America (Secretaría Permanente de Cámaras de Comercio e Industrias Latinas – CAMACOL)
